Prior to treatments I could not eat either eggs or wheat. If I accidentally ate something which contains either substance painful, welt-like hives would result. Often my eyes would swell completely shut from something as simple as a sauce thickened with flour. Never in a million years did my husband and I ever expect that by a simple treatment of acupuncture, that our lives would change in a ways we never thought possible.

A Terrifying Realization
When our daughter, Kristen, was 4 months old we were told by a Pediatrician to give her 2oz. Of formula on top of her normal feeding of breast milk to help her sleep through the night. On the third night of following the Dr.’s advice we walked into our daughter’s room to find her red and swollen with splotches of hives from head to toe. We rushed her to the ER. By the time we arrived her throat was beginning to close. We were sent to an allergist for testing. They determined that she was allergic to milk. They told us that it would kill her! After more extensive testing we found that she had dairy, soy, and egg allergies.
For the next 18 months we carried Benadryl and an Epinephrine pen with us everywhere we went. Labels were read, and most foods were avoided and many precautions were taken. But we always ran in to trouble with other types of food. We never got a straight answer from anyone.
After moving back to Colorado we were referred to the Colorado Allergy Clinic. More tests were performed and again we were given a list of foods to avoid. Other foods were added this time along with a few animals and outside allergens. We were told that she would out grow her mild and food allergies, but there was no guarantee as to when. We were not presented with options on how we might correct the problem - just a "deal with it" attitude. Imagine our heart felt worry. Our daughter was 20 months old and only weighed 25 pounds. Sure it’s not bad, if your choosing to out dairy and most foods from your diet, but not for a 20 month old.
When our daughter was 22 months old I saw an ad in the Denver Post’s health section about acupuncture and how it could clear food allergies in 25 hours. We decided to call and find out more. After three references and a trip to watch one of the treatments, we made an appointment. What did we have to lose?
On March 1st at 1:00pm we went in for our first appointment. Thirty minutes later with a list of all allergies determined through muscle testing. We went home to wait 25 hours so our daughter could be cleared of her milk allergy.

Our Miracle
Our miracle happened on march 2nd around 6:00pm. After a little more than 25 hours of waiting we put on our shoes, got our keys in hand, had the Benadryl and Epi-pen all ready to administer. With apprehension we gave our daughter ¼ of a piece of cheese. Now mind you it only takes less than 9 minutes and a piece of cheese the size of a fingernail or less to cause a severe and deadly reaction. Fifteen minutes later we gave her enough to equal half a slice of cheese. Fifteen minutes later we gave her the rest of the cheese slice and we waited. An hour and a half later, as we stood in astonishment along with most of our family, we watched as our daughter played and played with NO REACTION. We took her back the next day to have the treatment done one more time just as a safety precaution. On Sunday we gave her 8 oz. of whole cow’s milk. To our amazement nothing happened except a small spot under her chin. Now we were told that she was allergic to sugar. So we bought lactose free milk due to the fact that there is sugar in lactose and lactose is in milk. After feeding her 8oz. of lactose free milk she had no reaction, not even the red spot under her chin showed up.

The Follow-Up
After two weeks of our initial treatment, we have given our daughter a countless number of cheese slices and many cups of milk. All of which is lactose free until her next treatment. She will go in for the sugar treatment and lactose free will be a thing of the past. There are other treatments to follow. Vitamin C is a necessary one. The Colorado Allergy Clinic told us she was allergic to potatoes, tomatoes, and bananas, just to name a few. They never said why. Now we know that it’s due to Kristen’s allergies to Vitamin C.
Our daughter has a new found joy of food. She enjoys eating now and since her first treatment she has gained 3 pounds. She’s sleeping better and her skin color is pinker. Her health is better and other little things have made her a happier child.
I cannot explain how this works. I really can’t, but I don’t question such a simple treatment, and a cure for us. I just know that it works. Our daughter is living proof.

Please imagine looking down at your 4 year old child, who is lying face down on a cold table, not knowing what was going to happen to her. In a trusting voice, you say, "Don’t worry this will help us find out what’s wrong." As they begin to prick away on her back with endless sharp needles poking and crying, poking and crying …. Forty pricks later, she still has to lay there. I can’t comfort her because they are awaiting reactions for allergies, from the highly recommended pediatric allergist. All of that for what? The tests were negative. "What?!" It can’t be. In your heart you realize that this is not the real answer.
For years our daughter Heather has suffered from continuous sinus infection; one prescription after another. We had just about had it…. Where was the answer?
We ran across a friend and school media specialist who told us about Jill Morian. As denial would have it, you just don’t want to believe that this option could work and do you want to put your child through another round of "who knows what?"
Knowing the positive side effects of acupuncture, we decided to give this a try. To our amazement, we discovered the allergies that Heather faced as well as, Anne’s and Jeff’s too. We started by eliminating milk and were amazed to see her eat 3 pieces of cheese pizza 25 hours later AND NOT BE SICK! It was amazing.
Since that time, our family has been slowly eliminating our allergies to help improve our bodies. "The proof is in the pudding"… yes, we can eat that now too! "That’s the icing on the cake", which we can eat now too!
